Plastic surgery is a general term,  which includes both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Aesthetic surgery includes all surgical interventions for purely aesthetic reasons and reconstructive surgery includes all medically indicated surgery.

The average recovery time after surgery is 8 to 14 days depending on the type of treatment.

In most cases, you can start strenuous exercise one month after surgery.

This depends on the extent and length of the procedures, as well as the anatomical region on which they are performed.

A scar will be visible, even if minimal, where an incision has been made.  However, after surgery, we recommend our patients to use a very good scar cream, which will minimize the scars. The scars can be very discretely placed, even sometimes invisible.

For reconstructive surgery, there is no minimum age.  We normally do not perform aesthetic procedures on patients younger than 18. If the patient is younger than 18, a written consent from both parents is asked prior to the procedure.

Before leaving the clinic you will receive the cell phone number of your surgeon, enabling you to reach him 24 hours a day in case of complications.

You need to come to the clinic on an empty stomach (no eating or drinking for 6 hours before surgery). You don’t need to bring anything in particular.

All surgical wounds are normally closed with absorbable sutures underneath the skin and the skin is closed with skin glue, allowing you to take a shower the day after the surgery.

That depends on the type of surgery that was performed and the occupation of the patient.

We strongly recommend that you stop smoking 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the procedure. Nicotine causes the small blood vessels to contract which results in decreased blood flow to the surgical wound, which can cause a delay in wound healing.

If you are having a procedure under local anesthesia you can drive yourself home. If you are undergoing general anesthesia or sedation, you will need to have someone drive you home.

For interventions under local anesthesia it is not necessary to come to the clinic on an empty stomach. For interventions under sedation or general anesthesia it is essential that you do not eat or drink anything for at least 6 hours before surgery.

You should inform the surgeon. He will either examine you himself or refer you to your general practitioner for an adequate treatment.

We only use the silicone implants from the best quality, which can be divided into 3 categories: the round medium profile implants, the round high profile implants and the anatomical (teardrop shaped) implants.

Our suppliers breast implants come with a 10 year warranty. However, they can last a lifetime.

A breast augmentation surgery takes about 1 hour, a breast uplift or a breast reduction takes about 2 1/2 hours.

There are no risks involved. With any surgery, there is a risk of complications. A postoperative bleeding can occur within the hour after surgery. Since the patient is at that time still in the clinic, a surgical intervention can be performed if necessary.  Late complications can also occur, such as a capsular contracture (the rejection of foreign tissue by the body) or a loss or decrease of sensation in the nipples.

A breast augmentation leaves a very thin scar in the crease underneath the breast or around the outer edge of the areola. Applying a scar cream twice a day for two months will minimize the scars.

A horizontal scar beneath the bikini line and a circular scar around the navel.

Facelift results last 8 to 10 years.
